Web Desk: Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has sparked controversy by calling out “fake films” being made in the Hindi film industry, questioning whether filmmakers focus on truth or misleading narratives.

While giving an interview, Siddiqui highlighted that audiences today are aware and can easily spot films that distort reality. He expressed concern that some movies may mislead viewers rather than present honest storytelling.

The 51-year-old actor stated, “Samaaj ko galat disha mein le jaane ki zarurat nahi hai. Sachhai bohot important hai, aur sachhai har insaan aaj ki date mein jaanta hai.”

He added that people understand global events and can identify the truth versus constructed narratives.

Siddiqui’s comments have revived debate on cinema’s role in society: should films entertain only, or should they also reflect social responsibility and truth?
