Renowned actress Nadia Jamil recently shared an interesting moment from her career during a private TV channel’s Ramadan transmission held on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
While speaking on the show, she revealed that she was offered a role in the famous Bollywood movie “Veer Zaara” starring Shah Rukh Khan.
According to her, talks with legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra had progressed and her role was almost finalized.
However, the situation changed when the shooting of the Bollywood movie “Veer Zaara” was about to begin. By that time, Nadia Jamil had already given birth to her eldest son Raqib, who was only three months old.
The actress said her husband, in-laws and mother all supported her and even encouraged her to work on the Bollywood movie with Shah Rukh Khan, but she chose to stay with her newborn child. Her mother was also ready to accompany her to the film set to help with the baby.

Nadia Jamil also shared that Yash Chopra told her she might be “ruining her career” by rejecting such a big opportunity like “Veer Zaara”. But she said her child and family were always more important than any film.
