Punjab has announced that admissions for government nursing colleges will begin on December 16 under a new centralized system managed by the University of Health Sciences.
For the first time, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) will conduct centralized admissions for the four-year BS Nursing Generic program. UHS has officially issued the admission notification for the 2025–2026 session.
According to details, online applications for admission to 45 government nursing colleges across Punjab will be accepted until January 6, 2026. These colleges offer a total of 3100 morning seats and 1400 evening seats, making it one of the largest nursing intakes in the province.
Admissions will be based strictly on FSc Pre-Medical marks, and applicants must have at least 50 percent in FSc to be eligible. While applying online, candidates must select their preferences for all nursing colleges available on the portal.
Only candidates holding a Punjab domicile are eligible for these admissions. Out of the 45 nursing colleges, 44 are exclusively for female students, while the Government Teaching Hospital Shahdara Nursing College is the only institution reserved for male candidates.
