IHC seeks record of Imran Khan’s jail meetings

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought the record of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan's jail meetings.

A larger bench, headed by Acting Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Sarfraz Dogar, conducted the hearing of the petitions related to Imran Khan s jail meetings. The bench also included Justice Arbab Mohammad Tahir and Justice Mohammad Azam Khan.

During the hearing, the Superintendent of Adiala Jail, Abdul Ghafoor Anjum, appeared before the court and informed that the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party was being allowed meetings beyond the schedule and in violation of the jail manual.

In response, the court ordered the Superintendent of Jail to provide a complete record of the visitors and directed a report on the procedure for Imran Khan’s jail meetings.

The Islamabad High Court has postponed the further hearing of the case until March 24.
