Chasing 162 runs, the USA team struggled to keep up with the required pace. They managed to score 132/8 in their full 20 overs. Their innings was stabilised briefly by Milind Kumar and Sanjay Krishnamurthi, who built a 58-run partnership after early wickets.
USA had a terrible start as their top order collapsed quickly. They were reduced to just 13/3 in 3.2 overs after Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh struck early blows. This early damage made it difficult for USA to recover fully.
Milind Kumar scored 34 runs but was dismissed by Varun Chakravarthy in the 12th over. Sanjay Krishnamurthi tried to continue the fight and scored 37 runs off 31 balls. He added another small partnership with Shubham Ranjane, but Axar Patel removed him at a crucial moment.
Shubham Ranjane played an aggressive innings of 37 runs from just 22 balls, hitting three sixes and two fours. However, he was dismissed on the last ball by Mohammed Siraj, who was India’s best bowler with impressive figures of 3/29 in four overs.

Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel also played important roles by taking two wickets each, while Varun Chakravarthy contributed with one wicket. India’s bowlers remained calm and controlled the match throughout the innings.
Earlier, India also faced difficulties while batting first. USA captain Monank Patel’s decision to bowl first worked well as USA bowlers restricted India to 161/9 in 20 overs.
India lost their first wicket early when Abhishek Sharma was out without scoring. Tilak Varma and Ishan Kishan tried to rebuild the innings, but Shadley van Schalkwyk shocked India by taking three wickets in one over, putting India under pressure at 46/4.
Captain Suryakumar Yadav then stepped up and played a match-winning innings. He scored an unbeaten 84 runs from 49 balls, hitting 10 fours and four sixes. He also built an important partnership of 41 runs with Axar Patel, who added 14 runs.
Suryakumar’s calm and powerful batting helped India cross the 160-run mark, which later proved enough for victory. For USA, Shadley van Schalkwyk was the standout bowler, taking four wickets for 25 runs.
India’s balanced performance with both bat and ball ensured a comfortable win and strengthened their position in the tournament.
