(Web Desk): The much-anticipated high-voltage match between Pakistan and India in the World Championship of Legends was called off today due to India’s refusal to play.

Former Indian cricketers reportedly refused to take the field against the Pakistan Legends team, resulting in the cancellation of the match that was scheduled to be played in Birmingham.

Fans were eagerly awaiting to see legendary players like Shahid Afridi in action, but their hopes were dashed as Indian stars backed out of the fixture.

Pakistan Legends  media manager confirmed the cancellation, blaming the stubbornness and biased attitude of the Indian players for the disruption.

According to sources, big names like Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Suresh Raina, and Shikhar Dhawan refused to participate due to Shahid Afridi s presence in the lineup — a move widely condemned as politicizing the sport.

The tournament organizers have clarified that all remaining matches will proceed as scheduled. Shahen Cricket, one of the event organizers, announced that ticket refunds would be issued to fans affected by the match cancellation.

Meanwhile, the decision has sparked outrage and disappointment among Pakistani fans, many of whom believe sports should unite nations, not divide them.

“Cricket brings people together,” said one fan, “but India’s behavior is pushing them apart. Politics should stay out of sports to preserve its true spirit.”
