Israeli President Isaac Herzog described the aftermath of Iranian missile attacks as a “very sad and difficult morning,” following deadly strikes that left at least eight people dead and dozens injured.

In a message posted on X, Herzog condemned the assaults as “criminal Iranian attacks,” expressing hopes for the swift recovery of the injured and the safe return of those still unaccounted for.

As reported earlier, multiple Israeli news outlets confirmed that numerous individuals remain missing, particularly following a strike in Bat Yam, located just south of Tel Aviv.

The Iranian missile barrage targeted several locations across Israel, including areas near Haifa and Tel Aviv. Medics and media sources reported at least 10 fatalities as a result of the bombardment.

This dramatic escalation came in response to Israeli air raids on Iranian territory, which included strikes on civilian and energy sites. A significant attack caused a blaze at Tehran’s Shahran oil complex.

Israel’s military defended its operations, stating that the attacks were focused on infrastructure tied to Iran’s nuclear weapons ambitions.

Now entering its second day, Iran’s Operation True Promise III has intensified hostilities between the two nations, pushing tensions to a dangerous new level.
