Abu Dhabi (Web Desk): Falling debris from a missile intercepted by UAE air defences has killed 2 people, injured 3, and damaged several vehicles on Sweihan Road.

The Abu Dhabi Media Office confirmed the incident and urged the public to rely only on official information to avoid spreading rumors.

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) said Thursday morning that UAE air defenses successfully intercepted missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran. Authorities emphasized that the situation is being closely monitored.

On 25 March 2026, UAE defenses intercepted nine UAVs from Iran as part of ongoing regional hostilities. Since the start of what the MOD described as blatant Iranian aggression, UAE air defenses have successfully stopped 357 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,815 UAVs aimed at the country.

The latest incident adds to the growing toll in Abu Dhabi, bringing total deaths to 11. Today, 2 people were killed and 3 injured due to falling debris from a successfully intercepted missile.
