(Web Desk): Islamabad spring holidays announced for federal educational institutions as schools and colleges will close for several days.

Authorities in the federal capital have officially announced spring holidays for government educational institutions. A formal notification has been issued confirming the break for students, teachers and staff.

According to the notification, all federal government educational institutions will remain closed from 24 March to 27 March. Students, teachers and staff will return and resume academic activities on 30 March.

Officials said the holidays are part of the traditional spring break given every year in educational institutions. However, this time the holidays have also been planned close to the expected eid ul fitr holidays so that students and teachers can get more convenience.

Authorities explained that the decision was taken while keeping the academic calendar in mind. The aim is to avoid disruption in studies while still giving students a short and useful break.

The notification applies to all federal government schools, colleges and other educational institutions in Islamabad. During the holiday period, academic activities will remain suspended, although some administrative work may continue on a limited scale.

Officials said the purpose of spring holidays is to give students a short break from their studies so they can relax mentally and return to their classes with fresh energy. Such breaks often help improve students’ academic performance.

At the same time, eid ul fitr is also approaching. Many families travel to their hometowns during this period to celebrate the festival with relatives.

Because of this, authorities decided to align the spring holidays with the expected eid holidays. This arrangement will make travel easier for families and reduce unnecessary movement for students and teachers.

Education officials have advised parents and students to ensure their attendance when institutions reopen on 30 March so that classes can continue normally.

Every year, educational institutions announce spring holidays to give students a short rest from academic pressure. This year as well, the tradition has continued with a four day break for federal educational institutions in Islamabad.
