ISLAMABAD: (Suno News) Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has taken oath as the acting Chief Justice of Pakistan.

The oath was administered by Justice Munib Akhtar. The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Judges’ Block of the Supreme Court.

Supreme Court judges, the Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP), and members of the legal fraternity attended the ceremony.

Justice Mansoor Ali Shah will serve as the acting Chief Justice until the return of Chief Justice Yahya Khan Afridi from abroad.

According to a press release issued by the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Yahya Afridi will be visiting China from April 22 to 26 as part of a judicial delegation. The Pakistani delegation will participate in the Chief Justices Conference being held in China.

Justices Aminuddin Khan and Shahid Waheed will also be part of the delegation.

The statement further mentioned that District and Sessions Judge Gwadar, Zafar Jan, and Senior Civil Judge Lakki Marwat, Nadia Gul Wazir, will also accompany the delegation.
