The decision was made on the instructions of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi after several people reported difficulties in receiving financial assistance. According to the Social Welfare Department, special redressal committees have been established to address complaints during the distribution of relief payments.
Officials said people facing issues with their payments should contact the office of their respective assistant commissioner. The assistant commissioner will serve as the chairperson of the redressal committee and will review complaints submitted by beneficiaries.
Authorities said individuals whose CNIC or mobile number details are incorrect or incomplete should visit the assistant commissioner’s office for verification. After reviewing the information, the case will be forwarded to the deputy commissioner for correction, allowing the payment process to continue.
Officials also clarified that payments cannot be issued if a CNIC is blocked. In such cases, the funds will be returned to the Director of Social Welfare. For elderly or disabled beneficiaries facing fingerprint verification problems, authorities have issued special instructions.
These individuals must obtain a certificate from the National Database and Registration Authority confirming the biometric verification issue. They must also provide a Family Registration Certificate issued by NADRA before submitting the case to the assistant commissioner’s office.

After verification, the payment can be transferred to a close family member. Authorities also explained the procedure in cases where a registered beneficiary has passed away.
Family members must submit the death certificate along with an application to the assistant commissioner’s office. Once the documents are verified, the relief payment will be issued to a close relative, as per the NADRA Family Registration Certificate.
Officials have urged all beneficiaries facing difficulties to contact the relevant assistant commissioner’s office as soon as possible. They said the redressal committees aim to ensure that deserving people receive their financial assistance without unnecessary delays.
