Djokovic, seeded sixth, has displayed commanding service statistics hitting 22 aces, 70% of first serves, and winning 82% of those points. He takes two break points against Muller in a dominant first set but lost the second in a tie-break after the Frenchman raised his level. The Serbian, however, recovered swiftly, breaking early in the third and fourth sets to seal the match.

The seven-time Wimbledon champion, who previously won four consecutive titles at SW19 from 2018 to 2022, now has 98 career wins at the All England Club. His next opponent will be British wildcard Dan Evans, who defeated compatriot Jay Clarke in the first round.

Djokovic’s quest for an eighth title, which would tie Roger Federer’s all-time Wimbledon record, continues as he eyes another deep run on the grass courts of London.
