US President Donald Trump claimed that the United States has already won the war against Iran, but said the fight is not over yet. Speaking at a campaign-style rally in Hebron, Kentucky, Trump told supporters that the US had achieved major military success against Iran.
“You never like to say too early you won. We won,” Trump said during the rally. He added that the conflict was decided very quickly, saying the outcome was clear in the first hour of the war.
Trump also claimed that US forces destroyed 58 Iranian naval ships during the military campaign. Despite declaring victory, the US president made it clear that Washington does not plan to withdraw from the conflict immediately.
“We don’t want to leave early, do we?” Trump asked the crowd. “We've got to finish the job.”
Trump further claimed that the United States had “virtually destroyed Iran”, suggesting that military pressure on Tehran could continue. He also warned that ending the conflict too quickly could lead to repeated wars in the future.

“We don’t want to go back every two years,” Trump said.
Meanwhile, officials from the Trump administration revealed the massive cost of the war during a congressional briefing.
According to estimates shared with lawmakers, the first six days of the conflict have already cost the United States at least $11.3 billion. A source familiar with the briefing said the spending reflects the scale and intensity of the military operations launched during the early phase of the war.
