(Web Desk): Four holidays for Eidul Fitr 2026 announced in Dubai, giving employees a long festive break to celebrate Eid with family and plan travel.

Authorities in Dubai have confirmed that four holidays for Eidul Fitr 2026 announced for public sector employees will begin on Thursday March 19 and continue until Sunday March 22, creating a four day holiday period. Government offices will reopen on Monday March 23 after the Eid break.

The announcement was made by the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, which confirmed the extended break so that employees can celebrate one of the most important Islamic festivals marking the end of ramazan.

Officials say the decision will allow workers to spend time with their families, attend Eid prayers, and participate in traditional celebrations across the city. Many residents are also expected to plan short vacations or family gatherings during the holiday period.

For private sector employees, the Eid break will start on Thursday March 19 and continue until Saturday March 21. However, if ramazan completes 30 days, the holiday may be extended to Sunday March 22, giving many workers a four day weekend as well.

Authorities also noted that the final confirmation of Eid depends on the moon sighting, which officially determines the end of ramazan and the beginning of Shawwal. Astronomers expect Eidul Fitr in 2026 to fall around March 20, though the final announcement will follow the traditional lunar observation.
